Alien Escape

Alien escape is a stealth game, although with all the mechanics that were supposed to go into the game not working it is simply spider attempting to find it’s way out of a complex.

Run around a laboratory and attempt to escape out of the single exit while the hovering guards are shooting at you.

Main mechanics:

• The guards are actively looking for the player using NavMesh and line of sight code.
• The player is able to maneuver and attempt to stay out of the line of sight of the enemies

Mechanics that didn’t make it in:

• The player was originally going to have abilities such as invisibility but this did not work in the end
• the spider was going to also be able to climb the walls and use a ‘grappling hook’ method to attach to the walls
  • This was going to make the final cut but the method would not work with the designed environment.
